Oppo Reno 14 Pro vs OnePlus 13s: Which ₹55,000 Flagship Should You Buy?

July 07, 2025: If you’re eyeing a premium smartphone around ₹55,000, the newly launched Oppo Reno 14 Pro and the compact flagship OnePlus 13s both offer tempting options — but which one deserves your money?

Design & Display:
Both phones sport a modern look with square camera modules and curved edges, but the Oppo Reno 14 Pro stands out with its glossy rear finish and an extra camera. It also offers superior water resistance with an IP68 rating (vs IP65 on the OnePlus 13s) despite being slightly cheaper. Display-wise, the Oppo Reno 14 Pro has a larger 6.83-inch AMOLED screen with 120Hz refresh rate and 1200 nits peak brightness. Meanwhile, the OnePlus 13s packs a smaller but sharper 6.32-inch LTPO AMOLED panel with the same 120Hz refresh but brighter 1600 nits peak brightness.

Camera:
Photography enthusiasts may lean towards the Oppo Reno 14 Pro’s versatile triple camera system: a 50MP main sensor, 50MP ultrawide, and a 50MP periscope telephoto lens offering 3x optical zoom. The front-facing camera is an impressive 50MP shooter.
In contrast, the OnePlus 13s features a simpler dual camera setup: 50MP main + 50MP telephoto with 2x zoom, and a 32MP selfie camera — competent but less versatile than Oppo’s offering.

Performance & Battery:
Under the hood, the Oppo Reno 14 Pro runs on a MediaTek Dimensity 8450 chip with up to 16GB RAM and a whopping 1TB storage option. The OnePlus 13s uses the Snapdragon 8 Elite processor paired with 12GB RAM and up to 512GB storage. Both are flagship-level performers, but OnePlus has a slight edge in CPU power, while Oppo wins in RAM and storage flexibility.

For battery life, the Oppo Reno 14 Pro leads with a 6200mAh cell (80W charging) compared to the OnePlus 13s’s 5850mAh battery (also 80W charging).

Price:
The Oppo Reno 14 Pro starts at ₹49,999 for 256GB storage, while the OnePlus 13s begins at ₹54,999 for the same storage, making the Oppo a better deal on paper.

Verdict:

  • Buy Oppo Reno 14 Pro if you want better cameras, a bigger battery, more RAM/storage options, and superior durability — all at a lower price.
  • Buy OnePlus 13s if you prioritize a more compact design, brighter LTPO display, and slightly better chipset performance.
