Reliance Infrastructure Stock Climbs as Investors Flock to Power Sector

June 11, 2025: Shares of Reliance Infrastructure, a key player in India’s power generation and distribution sector, closed at ₹414.9 on Wednesday, marking a 1.72% gain for the day. The stock exhibited notable volatility, hitting a low of ₹395 and a high of ₹414.9 during trading hours.

Over the past 52 weeks, the stock has shown remarkable growth, moving between ₹169.75 and ₹410.1. Investors have seen significant returns recently, with a 61.19% increase over the past month and an impressive 81.97% rise in the last three months.

Technical Indicators Signal Bullish Momentum

Analysts point to strong technical signals supporting the upward trend. The daily pivot level is placed at ₹404.25, with resistance levels at ₹413.5, ₹419.25, and ₹428.5. Support levels stand at ₹398.5, ₹389.25, and ₹383.5 respectively.

The moving averages also highlight sustained momentum. The 5-day Simple Moving Average (SMA) is at ₹371.28, with the Exponential Moving Average (EMA) at ₹382.21. Longer-term averages, such as the 100-day SMA and EMA, stand at ₹263.27 and ₹277.76, respectively, indicating an overall uptrend.

Strong Sector Performance Compared to NTPC

Reliance Infrastructure has outpaced sector heavyweight NTPC across multiple timeframes. While Reliance Infrastructure posted gains of 7.2% over the last week, 59.84% over the last month, and 115.59% over the past year, NTPC lagged behind with a 3.34% weekly gain but showed declines of 2.41% monthly and 7.43% yearly.

Over three and five years, Reliance Infrastructure’s growth has been extraordinary, with returns of 320.73% and 1741.53% respectively, dwarfing NTPC’s 128.62% and 246.89% in the same periods.
