Robinhood Stock Rockets 183% in 2025—Is the Best Yet to Come?

July 18, 2025: Robinhood Markets (HOOD) is having a breakout year in 2025, emerging as one of the stock market’s top performers. Robinhood stock has soared to new highs, recently hitting $106.64 on July 17. The surge? A perfect mix of a crypto comeback, innovative financial products, and a bold leap into tokenized securities by the commission-free trading pioneer.

Robinhood’s latest headline-making move is the launch of over 200 tokenized U.S. securities — including ETFs and major private companies like SpaceX — for European users. This is a game-changer. For the first time, Robinhood is tapping into the tokenized private market, thanks to Europe’s looser investor rules. It signals how far the company is willing to go to stay ahead in the fintech race.

The platform, once known only for shaking up the brokerage world with zero-commission trading, has now evolved into a full-scale financial hub. Users can trade stocks, options, futures, and crypto, invest for retirement, and even access premium tools through Robinhood Gold.

With a market cap hovering around $91 billion, HOOD stock has skyrocketed 183% year-to-date, dwarfing the S&P 500’s modest 7% gain. The one-year performance is even more jaw-dropping: a 336% climb versus the market’s 13%.

Even after narrowly missing inclusion in the S&P 500 Index ($SPX) earlier this year, Robinhood has kept the momentum going. Its Q1 2025 earnings crushed expectations, with revenue jumping 50% YoY to $927 million — ahead of Wall Street’s $915.7 million estimate. The real MVP? Transaction-based revenue, which shot up 77%, powered by strong gains in crypto, options, and equity trading.

With innovation at its core, Robinhood is scaling rapidly, attracting a new generation of global investors. But it’s not all smooth sailing — crypto volatility and macro trends still weigh on short-term performance. Still, for long-term believers, HOOD remains one of the most exciting stocks to watch as its next chapter unfolds.
