
Sterlite Technologies Soars 20% on AI-Driven Data Centre Expansion News
June 19, 2025: New Delhi- Sterlite Technologies Ltd (STL) shares surged 20% on Tuesday to hit an intraday high of ₹119.20 on the National Stock Exchange (NSE), continuing a powerful two-day rally driven by optimism around its new AI-ready data centre offerings.
At last check, STL was trading at ₹113.37, marking a 14.08% jump, as investors responded positively to the company’s announcement of next-generation, AI-powered data centre solutions.
On Monday, STL unveiled a comprehensive suite of data centre cabling and end-to-end connectivity solutions designed to support the growing demands of artificial intelligence (AI), high-speed networks, and sustainable infrastructure.
The company aims to serve hyperscalers, telecoms, colocation providers, and enterprises, positioning itself as a critical enabler in the booming global data centre market, projected to reach $517 billion by 2030.
“With STL’s 30+ years of expertise in optical network connectivity, we’re addressing the demands of AI-era data centres with scalable and sustainable solutions,” said the company in its official press release.

STL Managing Director Ankit Agarwal emphasized the company’s strategic positioning:
“FY25 was about resilience and customer-centric growth. The trifecta of AI-ready infrastructure, rural fibreisation, and data centre expansion will drive digitalisation—and STL is fully prepared.”
The newly launched infrastructure is manufactured to ANSI/TIA-942, TIA-568, and ISO 11801 standards, ensuring global compliance and a 25-year performance warranty.
Investors are betting that STL’s aggressive pivot to AI-centric data connectivity solutions and its improving financials will strengthen its market leadership, especially as global digitisation gathers pace.
