June 22, 2025: Vivo is all set to launch its latest Y-series smartphone — the Vivo Y400 Pro 5G — in India today, June 20. Tipped to be the successor to the Vivo Y200 Pro 5G (launched earlier in March), the Y400 Pro 5G brings notable upgrades in design, display, AI capabilities, and camera features.
As confirmed by the brand, the Vivo Y400 Pro 5G will feature a sleek body with a 3D curved AMOLED display, measuring 6.77 inches in size. The screen is expected to support Full-HD+ resolution, a 120Hz refresh rate, and an impressive 4,500 nits peak brightness, making it one of the brightest displays in its class.
Under the hood, the smartphone is likely to be powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 7300 chipset, paired with 8GB of RAM and 128GB or 256GB of internal storage. It will run on FuntouchOS 15 based on Android 15, with advanced features such as Circle-to-Search, AI Note Assist, and AI Screen Translation enhancing the user experience.

Vivo has confirmed 4K video recording support on both the front and rear cameras. The device is expected to sport a dual rear camera setup led by a 50MP Sony IMX882 sensor, along with a 2MP depth sensor. A 32MP front-facing camera will cater to selfie and video calling needs.
The Vivo Y400 Pro 5G may come with a 5,500mAh battery, backed by 90W fast charging, promising quick top-ups and long-lasting performance.
While the official price will be revealed at the launch event, the Vivo Y400 Pro 5G is expected to be priced around Rs. 25,000, placing it in direct competition with other popular mid-range devices such as the OnePlus Nord CE 4, Nothing Phone 3a, and Motorola Edge 60.
The device will be available in a Freestyle White colour variant, with at least two more colours expected at launch. Sales are likely to begin shortly after the announcement via Flipkart, Vivo India’s official e-store, and offline retail outlets across the country.
With powerful hardware, AI-driven software tools, and premium design aesthetics, the Vivo Y400 Pro 5G is shaping up to be a strong contender in the mid-range 5G smartphone segment in India.
