Volkswagen India Opens Pre-Bookings for All-New Tiguan R-Line, Invites Interest for Golf GTI

The German automaker brings its global best-sellers—Tiguan R-Line and Golf GTI—closer to Indian customers, promising premium performance, safety, and iconic design

New Delhi, March 25: Volkswagen India has officially opened pre-bookings for the highly anticipated Tiguan R-Line, the brand’s premium performance SUV, bringing a globally successful model to Indian shores. Alongside, the company has also started inviting customer interest for the legendary Golf GTI via its official website.

Customers can now pre-book the Tiguan R-Line at Volkswagen dealerships across India or online through the brand’s digital platforms.

Marking a major expansion of its Indian portfolio, Volkswagen’s latest offerings reflect its ongoing commitment to delivering global engineering excellence, cutting-edge performance, and innovation tailored for Indian customers.

The all-new Tiguan R-Line stands out with its powerful 204 PS engine producing 320 Nm of torque, delivering a dynamic and sporty driving experience. Designed to make a bold statement, the SUV measures 4,539 mm in length, 1,859 mm in width, and 1,656 mm in height, with a wheelbase of 2,680 mm—ensuring spacious comfort and stability.

Ashish Gupta, Brand Director, Volkswagen India, said,

“This year we are introducing two of the most iconic Volkswagen models to India. The Tiguan R-Line marks a new chapter in our journey of progress. With sharper performance, bigger space, and stronger safety systems, the R-Line brings the essence of German engineering into an SUV that is built to turn heads.”

“Volkswagen has always stood for innovation, engineering excellence, and dynamic driving. The Tiguan R-Line is set to redefine the SUV experience for Indian customers. We are also opening up interest registrations for the Golf GTI—a car that needs no introduction among enthusiasts.”

The Tiguan R-Line will be available in a vibrant palette of six colors:

  • Persimmon Red Metallic
  • Cipressino Green Metallic
  • Nightshade Blue Metallic
  • Grenadilla Black Metallic
  • Oryx White with Mother of Pearl Effect
  • Oyster Silver Metallic

The official launch and deliveries of both models are expected to follow in the coming months, marking a bold stride in Volkswagen’s India 2.0 strategy.
