Fresh Allegations
A New York Times report released this week alleged that Musk has been using a mix of drugs — including ketamine, ecstasy, and psychedelic mushrooms — throughout Trump’s campaign trail last year. The report claimed Musk carried a pillbox containing 20 doses and that his usage was not merely occasional. Sources said it has allegedly taken a toll on his health, including bladder issues.

Oval Office Appearance Fuels Social Media Buzz
Just hours after the report was published, Musk appeared alongside Trump at the White House’s Oval Office to announce his exit from the so-called “Department of Government Efficiency” (DOGE).
A clip from the press conference quickly went viral, with some social media users convinced Musk was “high as a kite.”
“He’s higher than the last three SpaceX rockets,” quipped one user. Another warned, “Please detox or get help detoxing before your cocktail mix does you in. This is not sustainable.”
A third added, “OMG! Elon Musk is so high it looks like he’s hallucinating!”

Mixed Reactions
However, some users defended Musk, saying he simply looked exhausted.
“Poor guy looks very tired, he needs sleep,” one wrote. Another said, “He just looks tired to me, not high,” while a third added, “Elon works all day and night while you’re sleeping. The man doesn’t stop.”

Musk’s Black Eye & His Explanation
Adding to the intrigue was Musk’s visible black eye at the press conference. Asked about it, Musk joked:
“I was just horsing around with Little X (his son), and I said, ‘Go ahead, punch me in the face.’ And he did. It turns out even a five-year-old can leave a mark,” he said, before Trump interjected with a laugh.
Previous Admission
In a March 2024 interview with Don Lemon, Musk admitted to using small doses of ketamine every two weeks, saying, “If you’ve used too much ketamine, you can’t really get work done, and I have a lot of work.”
As of now, Musk has not responded to the fresh wave of drug allegations following the Oval Office press conference.
