Cardi B recently responded to online trolls who accused her of undergoing plastic surgery after giving birth to her third child on September 7, 2024.
The rapper took to X (formerly Twitter) to shut down the rumors, stating, “This is how my body REALLY LOOKS LIKE.” She explained that her figure has been “exaggerated” due to the shapewear she’s been wearing, emphasizing that she hasn’t undergone any surgery after the birth of her child, as some fans speculated.
Cardi highlighted the absurdity of the accusations, noting that it would be impossible to have plastic surgery so soon after giving birth. She also opened up about her postpartum fitness routine, mentioning that she’s focusing on cardio rather than heavy lifting to avoid muscle strain, as this postpartum experience has been different from her previous ones.
She further addressed the pressure women face regarding “snapback” culture—the societal expectation for women to quickly return to their pre-pregnancy bodies. Cardi stressed that keeping active helps her manage postpartum depression, and despite public criticism, she continues to prioritize her health and well-being.
Cardi also clarified that while a fan had commented about the pressure women face, her response wasn’t about feeling pressured to conform, but rather her natural desire to stay active. She noted that she felt a unique burst of energy this time around, which has motivated her to accomplish her goals.
