Variety reports that 67-year-old veteran actor Casey Kramer passed away. She was Stanley Kramer’s daughter, a film director. Her family members report that she passed away on December 24 at home in Chicago. The cause of death was not stated. Kramer was born in 1955 in Los Angeles, California. She starred in her father’s drama film “The Runner Stumbles” in 1979. She later made appearances on television in shows like “General Hospital,” “Falcon Crest,” “The Young and the Restless,” “Criminal Minds,” “Southland,” “Baskets,” and “Transparent.” Her filmography included “Behind The Candelabra,” as well as independent features “A Rose For Emily,” “Mississippi Requiem,” and “Darkness in Tenement 45.”
The daughter of Stanley and Anne Pearce was named Casey. Her older brother Lawrence Kramer passed away in 2010. Known for his work on films like “The Defiant Ones,” “Guess Who’s Coming to Dinner,” “On the Beach,” and “It’s a Mad, Mad, Mad, Mad, Mad World,” her father Stanley was a well-known American film director. In addition to her stepmother, actress Karen Sharpe-Kramer, Kramer is survived by her sisters, actors Katharine and Jennifer Kramer.
