Celebrations are in full swing for Anant Ambani and Radhika Merchant as they prepare to tie the knot on July 12. Ahead of the wedding, a special puja ceremony was held, attended by family members, celebrities, and well-known personalities.
Actor Sanjay Dutt graced the event in a golden-hued kurta pyjama. Singer Kailash Kher, dressed in a sky-blue outfit, posed for the paparazzi and is expected to perform at the event. Shanaya Kapoor drew attention in a peach-tinted Sharara set, while Meezaan Jafri looked stylish in off-white fusion wear. Ananya Panday stunned in a purple lehenga set.
Shiv Sena (UBT) chief Uddhav Thackeray arrived with his son Aaditya Thackeray to join the celebrations. Reliance Foundation Founder and Chairperson Nita Ambani, the host of the event, dazzled in royal blue traditional attire, adorned with statement jewelry and a heavily worked lehenga. She greeted the paparazzi with, “Aaj Shiv Shakti ki puja hai toh aapke liye prasad bhej rahi hoon.”
Celebrity mehendi artist Veena Nagda was also spotted, indicating a mehendi ceremony was part of the festivities.
The Ambani family recently hosted a vibrant ‘haldi’ ceremony at their iconic residence, Antilia, in Mumbai, attended by close family members and Bollywood personalities. Among the guests were Anant’s uncle, businessman Anil Ambani, and his wife, former actor Tina Ambani. Salman Khan, in a radiant yellow kurta and black pajamas, added to the star-studded list of attendees, which included Ranveer Singh, Ananya Panday, and Sara Ali Khan.
Earlier, Anant and Radhika participated in a Grah Shanti Puja ceremony. Singer Nikita Waghela shared glimpses from the event on Instagram, showcasing serene moments from the Grah Shanti and Mandap Muhurat Puja. Radhika looked stunning in a cream and golden saree, while Anant sported a red kurta paired with a golden jacket.
As part of the wedding celebrations, Mukesh and Nita Ambani organized a mass wedding for the underprivileged on July 2 at Swami Vivekanand Vidyamandir in Palghar. On July 3, they hosted a Mameru ceremony, a Gujarati wedding tradition where the bride’s maternal uncle brings sweets and gifts.
The wedding festivities are meticulously planned, adhering to traditional Hindu Vedic customs. The main ceremonies will begin on Friday, July 12, with the Shubh Vivah, or wedding function. Guests are encouraged to dress in traditional Indian attire. The celebrations will continue on Saturday, July 13, with Shubh Aashirwad, and conclude with Mangal Utsav, or the wedding reception, on Sunday, July 14. The Ambani family also hosted a Sangeet Ceremony on July 5, featuring a performance by global pop sensation Justin Bieber.
Earlier this year, the couple hosted a series of pre-wedding festivities in Jamnagar, attended by a star-studded guest list from around the world.
