Blake Lively Branded ‘Diva’, 'Nightmare To Work With' in Resurfaced Clip Amid Justin Baldoni Legal Battle-Watch
January 8, 2025: A resurfaced 2017 interview featuring Armie Hammer discussing Blake Lively’s on-set behaviour has reignited debate amid her ongoing legal feud with It Ends With Us co-star and director Justin Baldoni.
The clip, taken from Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen, shows Hammer hesitating when asked about the “biggest diva” he encountered while filming Gossip Girl. After a noticeable pause, Hammer vaguely described the filming experience as challenging and revealed he was removed from some episodes. When pressed by host Andy Cohen about his love interest on the show, Hammer reluctantly replied, “Blake.”
Comedian Chelsea Handler quickly quipped, “Sounds like she was the problem,” and Cohen echoed the sentiment. Although Hammer attempted to walk back his comment with an awkward smile, the exchange fueled speculation about Lively’s on-set demeanor.
The resurfaced video comes amid serious allegations against Justin Baldoni. Blake Lively recently filed a formal complaint with the California Civil Rights Department, accusing Baldoni of fostering a hostile work environment during the production of It Ends With Us. The complaint includes claims of unwanted improvised kissing scenes and other inappropriate behavior.
The controversy escalated when The New York Times published an exposé suggesting Baldoni hired a crisis PR team to undermine Lively’s credibility. In response, Baldoni filed a $250 million libel lawsuit against the publication, calling the allegations false and defamatory.
Baldoni’s legal team has since released a statement claiming they possess evidence showing a pattern of manipulation and bullying by Lively. They further accused her of attempting to take control of the project through strategic intimidation.
Lively’s legal team responded, stating, “This is not a ‘he said/she said’ situation. Ms. Lively’s allegations are supported by concrete facts, and her actions were solely in the interest of protecting herself and others on set.”
The resurfaced clip has sparked widespread discussion online, with fans and critics weighing in on both Lively’s and Baldoni’s conduct. The ongoing legal battle promises to reveal more layers in what has become one of Hollywood’s most talked-about controversies.
