The controversy erupted after Allahbadia, also known as Beer Biceps, asked a contestant a highly inappropriate question during the show, sparking outrage on social media.
Mukesh Khanna's Reaction
Reacting to the controversy on his YouTube channel ‘Bheeshm International’, Mukesh Khanna said,
"This is a serious offence. It should not be taken lightly."
Further expressing his anger, he added:
"If I were Shaktimaan, I would drag him and throw him into space."
He criticized the excessive "freedom of expression" given to today's youth and suggested there should be boundaries.
Ranveer Allahbadia's Apology & FIR
Following intense backlash, Allahbadia issued a public apology, admitting:
"I shouldn't have said what I said. My comment was not just inappropriate, it wasn’t even funny. Comedy is not my forte. I'm sorry."
However, the damage was already done. An FIR has been filed against Ranveer Allahbadia, Samay Raina, Apoorva Mukhija, and the show India’s Got Latent for allegedly using offensive language.
Government & Parliamentary Response
The episode containing the controversial remarks has since been taken down from YouTube. Additionally, a Parliamentary panel on Information Technology is now discussing whether to summon Allahbadia over the incident.
