On the Stardust Photoshoot:
Mamta revealed that she appeared on the cover of Stardust magazine when she was just a ninth-grade student. She explained, “I was shown a picture of Demi Moore by the Stardust team. I didn’t find it obscene. I gave this statement back then, ‘I am still a virgin,’ and people couldn’t digest it because they assumed people did anything to enter Bollywood. But my father was a transport commissioner for 35 years. I didn’t need to. Since I didn’t know anything about sex, I didn’t relate nudity to obscenity.”
Regarding Bold Lyrics and Dance Numbers:
When asked about performing to bold lyrics in some of her songs, Mamta clarified, “As dancers, like Madhuri Dixit or anyone else, we focus on the choreography, not the lyrics. My attention was on perfecting my dance steps.”

On “Koi Jaye To Le Aaye”:
Mamta also shared insights into her decision to perform the famous item song in Ghatak, a film starring Sunny Deol. She revealed, “Director Raj Kumar Santoshi personally requested me to do the number. The film had been delayed for seven years because its lead actress, Meenakshi Seshadri, got married, and the movie wasn’t finding buyers. I approached the song like a stage performance, which I was comfortable with after touring globally with Salman Khan and Shah Rukh Khan.”
Her Spiritual Transformation:
Mamta’s recent association with the Kinnar Akhara attracted significant attention. However, her tenure as Mahamandaleshwar was cut short due to tensions within the religious organisation. Rishi Ajay Das, the founder of the Kinnar Akhara, confirmed the decision to remove her from the position, citing internal conflicts.
Mamta Kulkarni continues to make headlines with her candid revelations and newfound spiritual journey, redefining her place in public life.
