January 3, 2025: Prince Harry and Meghan Markle are reportedly under mounting pressure from Netflix after their recent projects failed to generate significant viewership or critical acclaim. Despite a lucrative multi-million-dollar deal with the streaming giant, their follow-up projects have struggled to match the success of their initial documentary, Harry & Meghan, which set viewership records in its premiere week.
A report by InTouch Weekly reveals the extent of Netflix’s concerns. A source stated, “Fact is, Harry and Meghan were paid an exorbitant amount of money by Netflix and have little to show for it. Whether they admit it or not, the pressure is on for the Sussexes to deliver a hit.”

One of the couple’s recent projects, the documentary Polo, failed to gain traction among viewers. The report notes Harry’s personal investment in the project and his disappointment at its lukewarm reception. “This was his pet project. He’s passionate about the subject and is disappointed others failed to see its significance,” the source added.
In an effort to turn things around, Meghan Markle has announced her upcoming Netflix lifestyle and cooking series, With Love, Meghan, which is set to premiere on January 15. The show promises a mix of cooking, gardening, crafting, and hosting tips.
The series will feature celebrity guests, including chef Alice Waters, actress Mindy Kaling, and Meghan’s Suits co-star Abigail Spencer. Prince Harry is also set to make a brief appearance in the series trailer.
With With Love, Meghan positioned as a potential turnaround project, the Sussexes are hoping to recapture the audience’s attention and deliver on their promise to Netflix. Whether this venture can reverse their fortunes remains to be seen.
