Ranveer Allahbadia, aka BeerBiceps, lost over 8000 Instagram followers after an inappropriate comment on India’s Got Latent, potentially affecting his YouTube subscribers and brand deals.

February 12, 2025: Amid the controversy regarding his recent comment on India’s Got Latent, Ranveer Allahbadia has now reportedly lost a significant number of social media followers. If a report by influencer marketing intelligence platform Qoruz is to be believed, Ranveer’s personal Instagram account has lost approximately 4153 followers. Additionally, his BeerBiceps Instagram handle also saw a decline of 4205 followers.

The report further suggested that Allahbadia might also lose YouTube subscribers and brand collaborations as a result of the backlash. Previously, the YouTuber had partnered with major brands such as Spotify, Mountain Dew, Amazon Prime Video, Intel, and Wow Skin Science.

Backlash Over India’s Got Latent Comment

Ranveer Allahbadia, also known as BeerBiceps, has been at the center of criticism following his comments on India’s Got Latent. During a recent episode of the show, he allegedly asked a contestant an inappropriate and offensive question involving body parts and proposed an indecent act in exchange for Rs 2 crore. Legal Action & Police Complaint

The comment sparked widespread outrage, with netizens, celebrities, and politicians condemning the remark. Following the uproar, a police complaint was filed against Ranveer Allahbadia, Samay Raina, and co-judges Ashish Chanchlani, Jaspreet Singh, and Apoorva Makhija. The FIR alleges that they promoted obscene and sexually explicit content on the show, invoking multiple sections of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS).

While the controversial episode has now been removed from YouTube, authorities have confirmed that further investigation is underway.

Ranveer Allahbadia Issues Public Apology

In response to the backlash, Ranveer released a video statement apologizing for his remark. He admitted that his comment was inappropriate and unfunny, stating:

“My comment wasn’t just inappropriate, it wasn’t even funny. Comedy is not my forte. I am just here to say sorry. Many of you asked if this is how I wish to use my platform, and obviously, this is not how I wish to use it. I am not going to give any context, justification, or reasoning behind whatever happened. I am just here for an apology.”

Despite his apology, the damage appears to have been done, with his social media following dropping and his brand collaborations potentially at risk.

With the controversy still gaining traction, it remains to be seen how this will impact Allahbadia’s career and reputation in the long run.
