December 22, 2024: In a shocking turn of events, Taylor Swift and Hailey Bieber have been mentioned in emails allegedly tied to Justin Baldoni’s crisis management plan to discredit actress Blake Lively amid her sexual harassment lawsuit. Court documents attached to Lively’s legal complaint suggest an orchestrated strategy to manipulate public opinion using the celebrity influence of Swift and Bieber.

Taylor Swift’s Name in the Plan

According to emails filed as evidence, Baldoni’s crisis team allegedly considered Taylor Swift’s massive fanbase as a potential tool to intensify backlash against Lively. One email dated August 6 notes:
“We have seen the most innocuous issues turn giant due to socials or the hugest crises have no effect on social whatsoever. You just cannot tell at this stage. But, BL does have some of the same TS fanbase, so we will be taking it extremely seriously.”

Another email hints at exploiting “the weaponization of feminism”, claiming that celebrities like Swift have been accused of using similar tactics to control public perception. The strategy allegedly aimed to tarnish Lively’s credibility by leveraging narratives tied to feminism discourse online.

Hailey Bieber’s Mention

Hailey Bieber’s name surfaced in Baldoni’s alleged takedown plan, where team members reportedly referenced online bullying accusations against Bieber as a blueprint for tactics against Lively. Screenshots of online threads about Hailey Bieber’s controversies were reportedly shared among the team, suggesting they could replicate similar smear campaigns.

Astroturfing Tactics

Court filings also revealed plans to employ astroturfing, a tactic involving fake online comments and reviews disguised as grassroots opinions to manipulate public perception. According to the documents, this strategy was allegedly proposed by crisis communications specialist Melissa Nathan.

WME Drops Justin Baldoni

Following the explosive lawsuit filed by Blake Lively on December 21, Baldoni’s talent agency WME (William Morris Endeavor) severed ties with him. While the agency has not issued an official statement, it reportedly continues to represent Lively.

Blake Lively’s Allegations

In her lawsuit, Lively accused Baldoni of creating a “hostile work environment”, engaging in “unwanted physical contact”, and making “lewd remarks” on set. She further alleged intrusive behavior, including instances where Baldoni reportedly entered her trailer uninvited during private moments.
