“This Sunday, it's all about why biwis are clearly not considered number 1 except when it comes to taking the blame,” Twinkle began, referencing the rumors about Kareena. She highlighted how society often unfairly shifts blame onto wives, both in celebrity and everyday contexts.

Citing examples, she wrote, “When the Beatles split, people blamed Yoko Ono. Melania Trump is criticized for staying silent on her husband's policies. When Virat Kohli gets out, Anushka Sharma gets booed. If your husband gains weight, it’s because you’re not taking care of his health. If he loses weight, you’re accused of not feeding him properly.”
Twinkle humorously recounted a recent family gathering where a relative quipped that the only uncle who still had his hair was the one who never married. “Behind every man, loser or leader, stands a woman who is about to be vilified, at the drop of a hat, or with it firmly on her head,” she quipped.
Twinkle also expressed her frustration over being referred to as a "star wife" during interviews. “It’s almost like people think my husband is a toddler who’ll listen to me if I offer him a Frooti and ask him to behave.”
Her post sheds light on a recurring cultural pattern: the tendency to hold wives accountable for everything from a spouse's personal choices to professional setbacks.
For the unversed, Saif Ali Khan was attacked on January 16 at his Bandra residence, sustaining six stab wounds, including a serious injury to his neck. He underwent emergency surgery and was discharged from Lilavati Hospital five days later. Mumbai Police have arrested the alleged intruder, a Bangladeshi national, who is currently in custody.
Twinkle’s thoughtful post not only defends Kareena but also encourages broader conversations about gender roles and the unfair expectations placed on women.
