October 24, 2024: Chris Hemsworth, best known for his role as Thor in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, is reportedly in talks to take on the iconic role of Prince Charming in Disney’s upcoming Prince Charming movie. Although plot details remain under wraps, it has not been confirmed whether the film will be a live-action adaptation or an animated feature.
The movie will be directed by Paul King, who recently helmed Wonka, and he will co-write the screenplay alongside Simon Farnaby and Jon Croker. King is known for his success with Paddington and Wonka, which were both box office hits.
Hemsworth has been keeping busy with a string of high-profile projects. He recently voiced Optimus Prime in the animated film Transformers One and appeared as the villain Dementus in Furiosa: A Mad Max Saga earlier this year. Up next, he is set to star in the thriller Crime 101, produced by Amazon MGM Studios, alongside Halle Berry, Barry Keoghan, and fellow Avengers co-star Mark Ruffalo. The film is based on a Don Winslow short story about unsolved jewelry thefts, where Hemsworth will play a lone thief planning his final heist.
Although Disney has not officially confirmed Hemsworth’s casting as Prince Charming, the prospect of him taking on the beloved fairy-tale character has already generated significant excitement.
