Cristiano Ronaldo has once again made history by becoming the first men’s football player to score 900 career goals. This milestone came during Portugal’s UEFA Nations League match against Croatia, where he scored in the 34th minute, converting a perfect cross from Nuno Mendes to help Portugal double their lead and ultimately win the match. At 39 years old, Ronaldo continues to defy age and criticism, particularly after a disappointing Euro Cup performance where he failed to score.
Ronaldo’s journey to 900 goals has been nothing short of legendary. His career began at Sporting CP, where he netted four goals in 28 matches. In 2003, Sir Alex Ferguson brought the young star to Manchester United, where Ronaldo’s talent flourished, scoring 145 goals during his six-year stint with the club.
A significant chapter of Ronaldo’s career unfolded at Real Madrid, where he became the club’s all-time highest scorer with 450 goals. During his time in Madrid, Ronaldo won numerous accolades, including four UEFA Champions League titles and two La Liga championships. In 2018, Ronaldo moved to Juventus, adding 101 goals to his tally.
Ronaldo returned to Manchester United for a brief second spell, scoring 29 goals before making a sensational move to Al Nassr in Saudi Arabia in 2022. As of now, he has scored 68 goals for the club.
Internationally, Ronaldo has been just as prolific, scoring 131 goals for the Portugal national team. Although he has yet to win a FIFA World Cup, he has achieved nearly every other major honor in football. His determination and ability to perform at the highest level continue to inspire, as he remains a key figure for both club and country.
