This new series reimagines the scandalous and manipulative world of the original film, but with a modern-day twist, focusing on the elite students of Manchester College, a prestigious university near Washington, D.C.

In this fresh take, the series follows two ruthless step-siblings, Caroline Merteuil (played by Sarah Catherine Hook) and Lucien Belmont (played by Zac Burgess), who will stop at nothing to maintain their power and status in the cutthroat world of Greek life and the social hierarchy of the college. When a hazing scandal threatens to upend the entire fraternity and sorority system, Caroline and Lucien plot to seduce Annie Grover (played by Savannah Lee Smith), the daughter of the Vice President of the United States, in an attempt to preserve their reputation and dominance.

The show promises plenty of drama, betrayal, and power plays, echoing the seductive themes of the original movie. The cast also includes Sara Silva as Cece Carroway, John Harlan Kim as Blaise Powell, Khobe Clarke as Scott Russell, Sean Patrick Thomas as Professor Hank Chadwick, and Brooke Lena Johnson as Beatrice Worth.

Produced by Sony Pictures Television, Amazon MGM Studios, and Original Film, the series brings back Neal H. Moritz, who produced the original movie, and Roger Kumble, who directed and wrote it, as executive producers. The show is helmed by co-showrunners Sara Goodman and Phoebe Fisher, who serve as writers and executive producers, ensuring a connection to the original film while exploring new territory in this thrilling modern adaptation. Fans of the original film and new audiences alike are eagerly awaiting the release of this series.
