Singer-actor Diljit Dosanjh brought an emotional wave to his fans during his recent concert in Manchester as part of his Dil-Luminati Tour.
In a heartfelt moment, Diljit introduced his family on stage for the very first time, with videos of the touching exchange quickly going viral on social media.
While performing, the Amar Singh Chamkila actor paused to bow in front of a woman, who was later revealed to be his mother. He hugged her tightly, lifting her hand proudly as he told the audience, “By the way, this is my mom.”
The emotional moment brought tears to his mother’s eyes, showcasing the strong bond between them. Diljit also introduced his sister to the crowd, bowing before her as well, and said, “My family has come here today.”
This rare public appearance of his family left the audience emotional, adding a sentimental touch to the high-energy concert.
Following the international leg of his tour, Diljit is set to begin the Indian segment this October. The tour will kick off on October 26 at Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium in New Delhi, followed by performances in major cities including Hyderabad, Ahmedabad, Lucknow, Pune, Kolkata, Bangalore, Indore, Chandigarh, and Guwahati.
Diljit expressed his excitement in a statement shared by Saregama, calling the tour in India a “dream come true” and promising fans a night to remember. He emphasized how special it feels to perform in his homeland, stating, “India, get ready, because Punjabi ghar aa gaye oye!”
On the acting front, Diljit Dosanjh recently announced his involvement in Border 2, the sequel to the iconic 1997 film Border, alongside Sunny Deol and Varun Dhawan. The sequel will reportedly focus on the Battle of Longewala, with filming expected to start in November.
