November 4, 2024: Punjabi singer-actor Diljit Dosanjh, known for his energetic performances and global fanbase, was welcomed royally as he arrived in Jaipur for his much-awaited concert as part of the Dil-Luminati Tour 2024. The concert, scheduled for Sunday evening, drew attention not only for Diljit’s musical presence but also for the grand hospitality he received from Princess Diya Kumari, a prominent figure in Jaipur’s royal family and Deputy Chief Minister of Rajasthan.

In a video shared on social media, Diljit documented his arrival in the “Pink City.” Dressed in an elegant white suit paired with a black turban, he was seen arriving in style on a horse-drawn carriage, a nod to Jaipur’s royal heritage. Walking beside him was Princess Diya Kumari, who gave him a glimpse into the grandeur of the Jaipur palace. Diljit expressed his gratitude on Instagram, writing, “Beautiful pink city Jaipur, Rajasthan…it was a beautiful experience. Thank you, Princess Diya Kumari.”
In a playful message to his fans, Diljit added, “Dal Bati Churma khaa ke aana, baut Bhangra hone wala hai aaj shaam ko” (Have Dal Bati Churma before coming, there will be lots of Bhangra this evening).
The video also showcased a lavish dinner with members of the Jaipur royal family, highlighting the warmth of the welcome. Princess Diya Kumari, the granddaughter of Man Singh II—the last Maharaja of Jaipur—also shared the welcoming video on her own social media, further enhancing the anticipation around Diljit’s concert.
Dosanjh also took time to visit iconic spots in Jaipur, including Nahargarh Fort, where he was seen sitting peacefully at sunrise, hands folded, eyes closed in contemplation. Another video showed him feeding pigeons at the historic Amer Fort.
Diljit’s Dil-Luminati Tour has captivated audiences across India, with sold-out performances in Delhi and additional shows planned for Jaipur, Chandigarh, Pune, and more cities. The tour follows his successful European leg earlier in the year, where he performed in major cities like Paris, London, Dublin, and Amsterdam. In April, he made history as the first Punjabi artist to headline Vancouver’s BC Place Stadium, and he was also the first Indian artist featured on the cover of Billboard Canada.
