October 13, 2024: Divya Khossla Kumar is not backing down in her escalating feud with Karan Johar and Alia Bhatt. Recently, she criticised Alia for allegedly misrepresenting the success of her latest film, Jigra, and accused her of being dishonest about the movie’s opening figures. In response, Karan Johar appeared to react with a cryptic Instagram post, seemingly addressing Divya by stating that “silence is the best speech you will ever give to fools.”
Divya took to Instagram to share her observations after watching Jigra at a local theater. She claimed, “Went to Citi Mall PVR for a Jigra show. The theater was totally empty… all theaters are going empty everywhere. #Aliabhatt, sach mein Bahut #Jigra hai… khud hi tickets kharide aur fake collections announce kar diye. Wonder why paid media is silent. #weshdnotfooltheaudience #truthoverlies #HappyDussehra.”
In a seemingly pointed response, Karan shared a quote on his Instagram Stories that read, “Silence is the best speech you will ever give to fools.” Although he didn’t mention Divya by name, the implication was clear. Divya fired back with her own quote, stating, “Truth will always offend fools opposed to it.” She followed this up with another post that read, “When you are so accustomed to stealing what rightfully belongs to others, you will always seek shelter in silence. You will have no voice, no spine.”
