Maharashtra BJP today suffered a setback with ex-minister Eknath Khadse resigning from the party to join the Sharad Pawar-led NCP this Friday.

Khadse, who was minister in the previous BJP-Shiv Sena alliance government in Maharashtra, attacked Devendra Fadnavis on Wednesday, accusing the former state chief minister of “destroying his life.”

“Devendra Fadnavis destroyed my life. I spent the last four years of my life in stress. I repeatedly said I was being forced to move out of the party. I feel sad about resigning from the BJP but I had no choice. Attempts are being made to frame me in some case,” said Khadse, who had to resign from the Fadnavis-led cabinet in 2016 over allegations of graft.
