4 Scenes from Nadaaniyan That Are Going Viral for All the Wrong Reasons

Ibrahim Ali Khan & Khushi Kapoor’s Film Faces Backlash Over “Cringe” Dialogues

March 10, 2025: Bollywood debutants Ibrahim Ali Khan and Khushi Kapoor might have hoped for a dream launch with Nadaaniyan, but instead, the film has become a social media meme fest—and for all the wrong reasons. Helmed by Shauna Gautam in her directorial debut and backed by Karan Johar, the film has been mercilessly trolled for its dialogues, with netizens calling them “cringe,” “dumb,” and “downright painful.”

Here are four Nadaaniyan scenes that have left audiences rolling their eyes rather than swooning over the romance.

1️⃣ “I’m Not an AI Robot” 🤖

Khushi Kapoor’s emotional moment backfired spectacularly when she dramatically tells Ibrahim Ali Khan:
💬 “I feel a lot of things, Arjun. I am not an AI robot, you know!”

Intended as: A heartfelt declaration of emotions.
Received as: A robotic, laughable attempt at depth.

Intended as: A smooth, flirtatious compliment.
Received as: A “Did he really just say that?!” moment.

3️⃣ The ‘Greatest Noida’ Confusion 🏙️

When Ibrahim’s character is mocked for being from Greater Noida, he responds with a legendary comeback:
💬 “I am from the greatest Noida.”

Intended as: A witty retort.
Received as: A geography lesson gone wrong.

4️⃣ Sharma vs. Sharma-ing 🙈

In a bizarre moment, Khushi Kapoor’s character questions Ibrahim’s hesitation to hold her waist:
💬 “Tumhara surname Sharma hai kya… nahi na, toh sharma kyun rahe ho waist pakadne mein?” (Is your surname Sharma? No? Then why are you so shy about holding my waist?)

Intended as: Playful banter.
Received as: A forced joke that no one laughed at.
