Mixed Audience Response & Criticism 
Director Magizh Thirumeni’s attempt at a stylish action thriller failed to resonate with a broader audience. The storyline lacked universal appeal, and critics panned the film’s screenplay, leading to weak word-of-mouth and a quick dip in collections.
Fan Expectations vs Reality 
Ajith Kumar’s fans expect mass appeal, larger-than-life action, and high-energy sequences, which ‘Vidaamuyarchi’ deviated from. This experimental narrative style alienated a section of his fanbase, which did not translate into strong repeat viewings.
