January 8, 2026: Breaking his long-standing silence on one of Bollywood’s most private and painful family disputes, superstar Aamir Khan has finally addressed the allegations leveled against him by his brother, Faissal Khan. The Dangal actor stated that while one can take on the world, fighting one’s own family is a battle he refuses to engage in.
“It Is My Destiny”
In a recent interview, Aamir was asked about the serious accusations made by Faissal, which included claims of illegal confinement, house arrest, and career sabotage.
Responding with a sense of resignation, Aamir said, “Kya karein? (What to do?) That is my destiny. You can fight the world, but how can you fight your own family?”
The brothers famously starred together in the 2000 film Mela, which completed 26 years this week. Reflecting on the film’s failure, Aamir admitted it was a difficult period for both of them. “The failure of Mela definitely made a difference to me. It was hard on Faissal, but it was hard on me as well,” he added.
The Roots of the Conflict
The feud between the two brothers re-entered the spotlight last year when Faissal Khan made several explosive claims:
- Allegations of Sabotage: Faissal accused Aamir of using his power in the industry to stunt his acting career.
- House Arrest Claims: He alleged that the family kept him under house arrest and tried to portray him as mentally unstable.
- Character Attacks: Faissal criticized Aamir’s public persona, calling it a “whitewashed” version of reality and making claims about Aamir’s personal relationships.
The Family’s Unified Stand
In response to these recurring allegations, the Khan family—including Aamir’s mother Zeenat and sister Nikhat—previously issued a collective statement. They clarified that all decisions regarding Faissal were made with “love and compassion” and in consultation with medical professionals to support his psychological well-being.
The family maintains that they have refrained from public mud-slinging to protect the dignity of their private struggles, emphasizing that their actions were always intended to help Faissal during a difficult period.
