Aamir Khan Cheers For Naga Chaitanya At ‘Thandel’ Trailer Launch

January 31, 2025: Bollywood superstar Aamir Khan made a special appearance at the trailer launch event of the highly anticipated film Thandel, starring Naga Chaitanya and Sai Pallavi, in Mumbai on Friday evening.

Aamir, who had previously worked with Naga in Laal Singh Chaddha (2022), was all smiles as he arrived to support the team behind the film. He also took some time to pose for pictures with Naga, showcasing their camaraderie.

At the event, Naga Chaitanya opened up about his role in Thandel, describing it as a pivotal character of a leader. He explained that the title “Thandel” refers to the “captain of the ship” — the one who guides the crew. Naga’s character, Raju, leads a group of fishermen who find themselves caught in a harrowing situation after they accidentally drift into Pakistani waters during one of their trips. The film depicts their journey through this turmoil, their time in a Pakistani jail, and how they eventually manage to escape. Despite the intense backdrop, the film also features a beautiful love story.

Naga shared that the plot of Thandel is based on a true story, adding a layer of authenticity to the narrative. The film is directed by Chandoo Mondeti and produced by Bunny Vasu under the prestigious Geetha Arts banner, with Allu Aravind presenting it. The technical team includes National Award-winning composer Devi Sri Prasad for the music, cinematography by Shamdat, and editing by Naveen Nooli.

Thandel marks the second collaboration between Naga Chaitanya and Sai Pallavi after their successful film Love Story. The movie is slated for release on February 7, 2025, and promises to be an emotional and thrilling ride for audiences.
