While speaking to ABP Live, Aamir expressed his sadness over the film’s underperformance, stating:

“Nahi chali woh film, unfortunately. Toh mujhe uska bhi bada dukh hai. Mujhe laga film acchi hai aur Junaid ne bhi accha kaam kiya hai lekin voh film nahi chali.”
(The film didn’t work, and I feel sad about it. I thought it was good, and Junaid performed well, but it didn’t succeed.)

He further admitted that he was far more stressed for his son’s film than for his own projects. Two weeks before its release, he found himself feeling unusually anxious, despite not being directly involved.

“Mai dur dekh raha hun par mera dil zor se dhadak raha hai.”
(I was far away, but my heart was pounding loudly.)

Aamir’s Optimism for Junaid’s Future

Despite the setback, Aamir remains confident in Junaid’s resilience. He emphasized that the film industry is a place where one must embrace both success and failure, and he believes his son will learn and grow from the experience.

“Junaid is young, intelligent, and full of energy. He’ll find his way.”

Additionally, Aamir revealed that he has produced an upcoming romantic film featuring Junaid and Sai Pallavi, slated for release by the end of 2025.

‘Loveyapa’ Box Office Report

Despite receiving a mixed-to-positive response, ‘Loveyapa’ struggled at the box office and ended its theatrical run with a worldwide collection of only ₹8.85 crore. Directed by Advait Chandan and produced by AGS Entertainment & Phantom Films, the romantic-comedy starring Junaid Khan and Khushi Kapoor failed to connect with audiences.
