January 26, 2025: Actor Aamir Khan shared some exciting updates about his upcoming projects, particularly the much-anticipated sequel to his 2007 film Taare Zameen Par, titled Sitaare Zameen Par.

During his participation in the Republic Day 2025 celebrations at the Statue of Unity in Gujarat, Khan revealed that the climax of the film was shot in Vadodara, Gujarat. He expressed his connection to the state, noting how much it has changed over the years, particularly mentioning the city’s transformation with luxurious buildings and improved roads.

In a nostalgic moment, Khan recalled how his father’s films were shot in Gujarat when he was younger, which made his return to the state particularly memorable. He emphasized Gujarat’s long-standing association with filmmaking, describing it as a vibrant place with a deep connection to cinema, culture, and art. This sentiment further fueled his enthusiasm for future film projects in the region.

Regarding Sitaare Zameen Par, Khan shared that after a 16-year hiatus, he has reunited with actor Darsheel Safary, who portrayed Ishaan in the original film. The sequel will follow Ishaan’s journey, and Khan confirmed the film is targeting a release by Christmas 2025. He mentioned that while he plays the lead in the film, he is also producing it. The film is set to feature Genelia in a key role, and Khan expressed his excitement about the story, calling it an entertaining film.
