Aamir Khan Unveils First Song ‘Good For Nothing’ From Upcoming Film Sitaare Zameen Par

May 22, 2025: Aamir Khan’s much-awaited film Sitaare Zameen Par, the spiritual sequel to his 2007 critically acclaimed Taare Zameen Par, is all set to release in theatres on June 20. Ahead of its premiere, the makers have dropped the first official track titled Good For Nothing, which has already started making waves online.

Composed by the legendary trio Shankar-Ehsaan-Loy, the peppy number is brought to life with vocals by Shankar Mahadevan and Amitabh Bhattacharya, who also penned the lyrics. Guitarist Neil Mukherjee and bassist Sheldon D’Silva contribute to the vibrant musical arrangement. The music video features Aamir Khan as Coach Gulshan, training children with special needs on the basketball court, instilling in them positivity, grit, and a sense of determination.

The upbeat vibe of the song aligns with the film’s empowering theme. Aamir Khan Productions shared the track on Instagram with the caption: “Only legends would know that this song is gooood for everything. Check out #GoodForNothing, song out now. #SitaareZameenPar #SabkaApnaApnaNormal, 20th June Only In Theatres.”

Fans flooded the comments section with excitement. One user wrote, “Perfect for my birthday! Great song,” while another said, “Cute song, eagerly waiting for 20th June.” A fan enthusiastically added, “Fantastic song, loved it! I’m super excited for Sitaare Zameen Par.”

Directed by R. S. Prasanna and produced by Aamir Khan and Aparna Purohit, the film also stars Genelia Deshmukh in a key role. Sitaare Zameen Par is an official adaptation of the 2018 Spanish film Campeones.

In addition to this film, Aamir Khan is collaborating once again with director Rajkumar Hirani for a biopic on Dadasaheb Phalke. The duo, known for hits like 3 Idiots (2009) and PK (2014), will begin filming the project in October 2025, aiming for a 2026 theatrical release.
