Aamir Khan’s Mumbai Residence To Be Bulldozed? Here’s Why
December 7, 2024: Bollywood superstar Aamir Khan, celebrated for his iconic films and immense contributions to Indian cinema, is now facing significant changes in his personal life. The building where Aamir resides, located in the upscale Pali Hill area of Mumbai, is set for redevelopment.
The structure, which has stood for over 40 years, is undergoing redevelopment in collaboration with Atmosphere Realty. Interestingly, the building comprises 24 apartments, with Aamir owning nine of them. As part of the redevelopment plan, the new structure will offer residents 55–60% more living space, ensuring a modern and upgraded living experience.
The cost of redevelopment is estimated at ₹80,000 to ₹1,25,000 per square foot, a substantial investment aimed at revitalizing the property. According to Manan Shah, Managing Director of MICL, the project is currently in the approval stage and is expected to launch in the first quarter of FY26.
Aamir Khan has taken an active interest in the redevelopment process, reflecting his commitment to the project’s success. While the building is being reconstructed, the actor is likely to temporarily relocate, as the site undergoes significant changes.
On the professional front, Aamir was last seen in Laal Singh Chaddha, alongside Kareena Kapoor Khan and Naga Chaitanya. The film, a Bollywood adaptation of the Hollywood classic Forrest Gump, received mixed reviews but showcased Aamir’s dedication to meaningful storytelling.
Looking ahead, the actor is preparing for his next project, Sitare Zameen Par, the sequel to his much-loved film Taare Zameen Par. Besides starring in the film, Aamir is also producing it. Though details about the sequel are under wraps, fans are eagerly awaiting its release.
As the redevelopment project progresses, Aamir Khan’s Pali Hill residence will soon transform into a modern structure, reflecting the actor’s forward-thinking approach both on and off the screen.
