Aamir Khan's Sitaare Zameen Par Not To Release On OTT, Then Where?
July 29, 2025: Aamir Khan, a Bollywood actor, has made a big statement about his business, Aamir Khan Productions. He said that his movies would be on his new YouTube channel, Aamir Khan Talkies. At an occasion in Mumbai, the actor-director made news when he talked about a new way to digitally distribute his movies.
Aamir Khan would upload movies to his YouTube account for ₹100. Aamir Khan Talkies, which started in March and currently has more than three lakh subscribers, will be the place to see his old and new movies after his theatrical run. “This is why I didn’t sell the rights to my movie Sitaare Zameen Par,” Khan said. “We want to put all of Aamir Khan Productions’ movies on YouTube after they have been in theaters.” The lowest price for each movie will be 100 rupees. He also said that there wouldn’t be any ads on the radio.
The 60-year-old actor said that the site will have both new movies like Sitaare Zameen Par and vintage movies from his collection. He said, “After Sitaare, the channel will show movies like Lagaan (2001), Taare Zameen Par (2007), and Peepli Live (2010).” The channel will also show movies made by or connected to his late father, filmmaker Tahir Hussain. These movies, such Caravan (1971) and Hum Hain Rahi Pyar Ke (1993), will bring back memories and show you how movies have changed with time.
Khan also said that he wants to use the platform to help new and independent filmmakers who have trouble having their movies shown in theaters. “I want to give new talent a chance and make their movies more visible by showing them on the channel,” he stated. He went on to say that a little charge will be taken out of the earnings, but “the idea is to make sure that creators benefit directly from their own work.” This endeavor is a big step toward making film distribution more fair and providing new people an opportunity to work in the area.
