Aamir Khan’s ‘Sitaare Zameen Par’ to Launch June 20

June 16, 2025: Aamir Khan is all set to return to the silver screen with Sitaare Zameen Par, slated for a theatrical release on June 20, 2025. The film has been certified 12A in the UK and promises to be a feel-good sports comedy-drama with a runtime of 2 hours and 35 minutes.

Directed by R.S. Prasanna, the film features Aamir Khan alongside Genelia Deshmukh in prominent roles. Sitaare Zameen Par is an official remake of the Spanish film Champions and focuses on themes of inclusion, resilience, and the unifying power of sports.

This project marks Aamir Khan’s comeback after a three-year hiatus since Laal Singh Chaddha. The film also serves as a launchpad for several fresh faces in Hindi cinema, reflecting the actor-producer’s commitment to promoting new talent.

With humor, heart, and an uplifting message, Sitaare Zameen Par aims to strike an emotional chord with audiences across generations. The title pays homage to Khan’s 2007 critically acclaimed film Taare Zameen Par, though the two are not connected in storyline.

Fans can expect a mix of laughs, inspiration, and drama as Aamir Khan steps into the role of a reluctant coach mentoring a team of players with intellectual disabilities.
