Actor Aasif Sheikh, who portrays the iconic character Vibhuti Narayan Mishra in the long-running sitcom Bhabiji Ghar Par Hain, has clarified the future of the show amid widespread rumors regarding the potential shutdown of the &TV network.

Sheikh confirmed that the beloved comedy series is officially shifting to the ZEE5 streaming platform.

Addressing the reports, the actor noted that the cast and crew were informed of this transition a month ago. Emphasizing his support for the move, Sheikh stated, “I am cool with the show being shifted to a streaming platform. This is the future of viewing… Mobile screens make their favorite shows more accessible.”

Fun on the Run OTT Premiere

In addition to the main show’s transition, the spin-off adventure-comedy film, Bhabiji Ghar Par Hain: Fun on the Run, is set for its digital debut. After its theatrical release on February 6, 2026, the film will premiere on ZEE5 on April 3, 2026. Directed by Shashank Bali, the film brings the familiar residents of “Modern Colony” to the big screen, continuing the legacy that began with the series’ premiere on March 2, 2015.
