Abhinav Kashyap Launches New Attack On Aamir Khan, Calls Him A ‘Thief’

Kashyap, brother of Anurag Kashyap, referred to Aamir Khan as the ‘slyest fox’ and a ‘thief,’ further mocking the actor’s height and questioning his social contributions after the success of Dangal.

October 24, 2025: Following his explosive allegations against Salman Khan and recent comments about Shah Rukh Khan, director Abhinav Kashyap has now launched a searing attack on Bollywood superstar Aamir Khan, calling him a “manipulator,” a “thief,” and unjustly critical of his professional image.

In a recent interview with Bollywood Thikana, Kashyap, who directed the blockbuster Dabangg, did not mince words while discussing his former collaborator on advertisement films.

“Voh sabse chaalaak lomdi hai (He is the slyest fox),” Kashyap stated, adding, “Wo Salman se bhi chota hai height me lekin kya manipulative aadmi hai. Aur sabse shaatir chor hai (He is even shorter than Salman in height, but what a manipulative man he is. And the smartest thief).”

The ‘Perfectionist’ Myth

Kashyap further dismantled Aamir Khan’s widely celebrated image as a “perfectionist,” alleging that the actor’s relentless control on set is creatively draining.

“Working with him is exhausting; he drains you. He interferes in everything—editing, direction, everything. It’s an entire ecosystem maintained for strict control,” the filmmaker claimed. He further argued that Aamir’s insistence on numerous takes rarely yields anything new: “If Aamir gives 25 takes, his first and last are often the same… but ultimately, there’s nothing.”

Kashyap squarely blamed Aamir Khan for establishing a culture where actors dominate and manipulate directors within the industry.

Questioning Aamir’s Influence and Social Work

The director also questioned the enduring influence Aamir Khan holds over successful filmmakers like Rajkumar Hirani and Rakesh Omprakash Mehra, saying Aamir has “trapped” many great thinkers.

“Rajkumar Hirani is a very strong filmmaker… So why do people keep meeting at Aamir Khan’s house? What is in this dwarf that others lack?” Kashyap provocatively asked.

Concluding his tirade, Kashyap questioned Aamir’s social contributions, particularly in the context of his biggest hit, Dangal. He alleged that Mahavir Phogat, the real-life inspiration for the film, had requested Aamir’s help to open an Akhada (wrestling school) in Haryana, but the request was reportedly refused. “He claims he earned 2000 crore rupees from China,” Kashyap remarked, questioning the actor’s moral obligation despite earning massive profits from Phogat’s story.
