December 10, 2024: Abhishek Bachchan Shuts Down Separation Rumours With A Joint Appearance With Aishwarya Rai
Abhishek Bachchan and Aishwarya Rai Bachchan recently made a rare public appearance together, effectively quashing rumours about their separation that had been making rounds for months. The couple attended a wedding, where they posed for photos, silencing any speculation about their relationship.
Meanwhile, Abhishek made a guest appearance on Riteish Deshmukh’s popular chat show Case Toh Banta Hai, where he was humorously teased about expanding his family with Aishwarya. The conversation began with Riteish pointing out the Bachchan family’s affinity for names starting with the letter “A”—Amitabh, Aishwarya, Aaradhya, and Abhishek. Riteish joked, “Jaya aunty aur Shweta ne aisa kya kar liya (what did Jaya Bachchan and Shweta Bachchan miss out on)?”
Abhishek joined in the banter, responding, “This, you’ll have to ask them. But I think this has become a tradition in our house—Abhishek, Aaradhya…”
Riteish humorously interjected, “Aaradhya ke baad (after Aaradhya)?” Abhishek playfully responded, “Nahi abhi agli peedhi jo aayegi tab dekhenge na (we’ll see when the next generation comes).”
Keeping the humour alive, Riteish added, “Who will wait that much? Like Riteish, Riaan, Rahyl…” Blushing, Abhishek jokingly replied, “Umar ka lihaaz kiya karo, Riteish. Main tumse bada hoon (Respect your elders, Riteish. I am older than you).” This playful exchange ended with Riteish touching Abhishek’s feet, much to the delight of the audience.
Abhishek and Riteish, who previously collaborated on films like Bluffmaster! and Housefull 3, shared a great camaraderie on the show.
Birthday Speculation Addressed
Last month, the internet speculated that Abhishek was absent from his daughter Aaradhya’s 13th birthday celebration, after Aishwarya shared pictures without him. However, videos shared by the event management company organizing the party confirmed Abhishek’s presence. In one video, Aishwarya and Aaradhya thanked the team for hosting wonderful celebrations over the years. In another, Abhishek was seen expressing his gratitude, dispelling all rumors of his absence.
Abhishek Bachchan and Aishwarya Rai tied the knot in April 2007 and welcomed their daughter Aaradhya in November 2011.
