Speaking ahead of his film Kaalidhar Laapata, Abhishek Bachchan slams online negativity and calls out those spreading false news about his marriage with Aishwarya Rai.
New Delhi, June 30, 2025 –After months of silence, Abhishek Bachchan has finally addressed the persistent rumours about his marriage with Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, calling out the toxic trend of online trolling and misinformation. Speaking during the promotions of his upcoming ZEE5 film Kaalidhar Laapata, the actor expressed how hurtful such gossip has become—not just for him, but for his family.
Abhishek and Aishwarya, who married in 2007 and share a 13-year-old daughter, Aaradhya, have been the subject of separation speculation for over a year. While they had chosen to remain silent, Abhishek spoke candidly in an interview with ETimes, saying:
“Even if I clarify something, people will twist it. Negative news sells. You’re not living my life, and you’re not answerable to the people I am.”
He added that trolls often ignore the emotional impact their words can have, especially when families are involved.

💬 “Say It to My Face,” Says Abhishek
The actor recalled how a deeply offensive comment posted on one of his social media posts prompted his friend, actor Sikandar Kher, to share Abhishek’s address publicly—daring the troll to confront him in person.
“It’s so easy to hide behind a screen. If you have the guts, come and say it to my face. Then at least I’ll respect your conviction,” Abhishek said.
He emphasized that while he’s learned to live with online hate, it becomes intolerable when loved ones are dragged into it.
