June 1, 2025: Shivaji Satam’s iconic character, ACP Pradyuman has made a dramatic return to CID, less than two months after fans were left shocked by his apparent exit. The legendary cop, believed to be dead, is back—and this time, he’s pointing a gun at his own team.

On Saturday, Netflix India unveiled a thrilling promo revealing the ACP’s unexpected comeback. But there’s a twist—he seems to have lost his memory. The clip opens with Pradyuman aiming a gun at Daya (Dayanand Shetty), who is stunned to see his former boss alive. As Daya tries to remind him of their bond and duty, the ACP coldly replies, “CID? So you are a cop? I’ve to settle an old score with the police,” before opening fire.
An emotional Daya later informs Inspector Abhijeet (Aditya Srivastava), “ACP Pradyuman is alive.” The video was captioned: “Iska matlab samjhe Daya? ACP Pradyuman zinda hai. Dekhiye CID ke naye episodes har Shanivaar aur Ravivaar raat 10 baje, Netflix par bhi.”
The dramatic return comes after the character was presumed dead in an April episode, where Barboza (played by Tigmanshu Dhulia) seemingly killed Pradyuman in an explosion. While the death wasn’t shown explicitly, Sony TV confirmed it via a social media post, sending fans into mourning.
Adding to the intrigue, actor Parth Samthaan recently joined the show as ACP Ayushmann, sparking speculation that he was replacing Shivaji Satam. However, CID’s makers appear to have had a twist up their sleeve all along.
Fans are ecstatic. Comments poured in: “ACP Pradyuman sir is finally back!!!!!” and “GOAT is back, now CID is CID. Without him, it’s nothing.”
Shivaji Satam’s return promises a gripping new storyline for the cult detective series, now streaming on Netflix with new episodes every Saturday and Sunday at 10 PM.
