ACP Pradyuman to Return in CID? Shivaji Satam Likely to Resume Iconic Role Soon

Days after his on-screen “death”, Shivaji Satam’s legendary character is expected to make a comeback, while Parth Samthaan’s stint may be short-lived.

April 13, 2025: Fans of CID rejoice! The makers of the iconic investigative show are reportedly planning to bring back Shivaji Satam as ACP Pradyuman, just days after the character was seemingly “killed off” in a recent episode.

According to a report in Times of India, a source close to the production confirmed that “ACP Pradyuman is an iconic character and it can never die.” Shivaji Satam, who has portrayed the role since the show’s inception in 1998, is expected to start shooting again in the coming week.

🔁 A Short Break, Not Goodbye

While Parth Samthaan recently entered the show as Pradyuman’s replacement, his role appears to be temporary. The source revealed, “Parth will be shooting for a short period of time. Such twists are common in long-running shows.”

This news comes as a major relief for fans who were disheartened by the sudden “exit” of Satam’s character. Sony TV had even posted a tribute stating, “End of an era,” leading many to believe the curtain had fallen for good on ACP Pradyuman.

🔥 How the Character Was ‘Killed’

In a recent episode, ACP Pradyuman was seen caught in a trap set by the antagonist Barboza (played by Tigmanshu Dhulia). The scene ended in a mysterious explosion, with no visual confirmation of Pradyuman’s death — leaving the door open for a dramatic return.

“I have taken a break for some time. The makers know what lies ahead. If my track is over, I’m okay with it. But I haven’t been informed about it officially.”

🕵️‍♂️ Why It Matters
