Actor Gurucharan Singh from ‘Tarak Mehta…’ missing, family clueless

Concern is mounting for popular television actor Gurucharan Singh, famously known for his role as Sodhi in ‘Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah’, following his unexplained disappearance. Singh, last believed to be visiting his parents in Delhi, has been missing since April 22. He was expected to return to Mumbai but has since fallen out of contact.

“Gurucharan’s family registered a complaint that he has been missing since April 22. He was supposed to go to Mumbai, but he didn’t. We have registered a case under Section 365 of the IPC. We have put together a team to probe the matter and our technical team is also working on the case. We are in the process of going over the CCTV footage where he is seen walking by himself,” stated Rohit Meena, DCP South West Delhi.

The actor’s father, distressed by his son’s sudden disappearance, reached out to the Delhi Police for help. Singh’s absence is felt acutely by his family as he hasn’t made it to Mumbai for work nor returned to his parents’ home, and his phone has been unreachable.

Delhi Police are conducting a thorough investigation, promising swift action. “We are looking into the matter and a probe was instituted since we received a complaint,” a Delhi Police officer assured.

Gurucharan’s father also mentioned, “He wasn’t in a state of mental distress,” unable to fathom the reasons behind his son’s disappearance. Gurucharan, who left ‘Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah’ a few years ago, remains a beloved figure among fans, adding to the concern over his current whereabouts.
