In his apology, Mohan Babu expressed “deep regret” over the incident, explaining that his actions were an impulsive response to what he described as an invasion of his privacy. He stated that a group of 30-50 individuals, including some anti-social elements, had forcibly entered his home with intentions to cause harm to those present, which triggered his loss of composure.

Journalists, including Ranjith from TV9, were invited to cover the situation by Manchu Manoj at around 8:05 pm. According to the journalist’s complaint, Mohan Babu is accused of grabbing the microphone and phone from Ranjith, using abusive language, and physically attacking him with the microphone. The mic was said to have a steel pipe and metal logo, which reportedly caused a severe head injury to the journalist, resulting in significant bleeding.

Mohan Babu, in his statement, expressed his regret over the journalist’s injury, acknowledging that the media had inadvertently become entangled in the altercation as he tried to handle the situation. He specifically apologized to Ranjith, wishing him a speedy recovery and reiterating his regret for the incident.

The Pahadishareef Police have filed an FIR based on a formal complaint lodged by the journalist at 10:55 pm on the same day. The statement was recorded by Sub-Inspector B. Dayakar Reddy at the police station, marking the beginning of an official investigation into the matter.
