Actor Neha Sharma exercised her democratic right by casting her vote in her father Ajeet Sharma’s constituency in Bhagalpur district, Bihar, on Friday. Ajeet Sharma, contesting from Bhagalpur as a Congress candidate, garnered support from his family as they showcased their inked fingers after voting at a local polling booth.
Encouraging citizen participation, Neha Sharma emphasized the significance of voting, stating, “This is a very important day…I request people that this is a very important right that we have. As an aware citizen, step out and vote because your vote is precious.”
Bhagalpur is one among the five seats in Bihar, including Banka, Kishanganj, Katihar, and Purnia, that are polling today. The voting for these five Lok Sabha seats began at 6 AM and will continue until 7 PM.
The remaining constituencies in Bihar will go to polls in the subsequent phases of the general elections, with the ongoing second phase witnessing voting in 89 constituencies spread across 13 states and union territories.
