The sequel brings back familiar faces including Christopher McDonald as villainous Shooter McGavin and Julie Bowen as Happy’s longtime love interest, Virginia. New and surprising additions include rapper Eminem and pro golfers Jack Nicklaus, John Daly, and Jordan Spieth in cameo appearances.

NFL star Travis Kelce also joins the cast, with Sandler previously discussing the film during an appearance on Kelce’s podcast New Heights in August 2024.

“The movie picks up with an older guy who played golf a long time ago. He’s a bit of a mess now, and we’re trying to get his life back on track,” Sandler shared.

Speaking to the Dan Patrick Show, Sandler admitted he’s feeling the pressure:
“We’ve got a lot of good stuff… we just want to make sure it all comes together. We’re nervous, but confident.”

Happy Gilmore 2 is shaping up to be a heartfelt and hilarious continuation of one of Sandler’s most beloved characters.
