Ketika Sharma’s dance moves in the latest Tollywood song spark backlash, with netizens slamming the industry for objectifying women.
March 11, 2025: The release of the song ‘Adhi Dha Surprisu’ from the upcoming Telugu film Robinhood, starring Nithiin and Sreeleela, has triggered intense backlash online. Featuring Ketika Sharma, the song has been called out for its ‘vulgar’ choreography and objectifying women, with many social media users demanding a ban on such performances.

📢 Online Backlash Against the Song
Composed by GV Prakash Kumar and sung by Neeti Mohan and Anurag Kulkarni, the song was released on Monday evening, but instead of applause, it received a flood of criticism.
A particular dance move, where Ketika pulls her waistband suggestively, has drawn the most outrage. Social media users slammed the choreographer Shekhar Master, urging him to retire for promoting such steps.

One irate Instagram user wrote:
“Sekhar master, please retire. This is not romance or commercial entertainment, it is disgusting.”
Another called for censorship:
“Need to ban these types of songs and choreographies.”

🔥 Not The First Time for Shekhar Master
This is not the first time Shekhar Master has faced criticism. His choreography for Balakrishna and Urvashi Rautela’s ‘Dabidi Dibidi’ from Daaku Maharaaj also drew flak for being overly suggestive.
In 2024, while he worked on blockbusters like Guntur Kaaram, The GOAT, Devara: Part 1, and Pushpa 2: The Rule, his choreography for Ravi Teja’s ‘Mr Bachchan’ was also slammed for crossing the line between entertainment and objectification.
With increasing backlash, the question remains: Will Tollywood filmmakers rethink their portrayal of women in item numbers, or will the trend continue?
