Director thanks fans while completing Dhurandhar: The Revenge
March 13, 2026: Filmmaker Aditya Dhar celebrated his 43rd birthday on March 12 while working on the final stages of his upcoming film Dhurandhar: The Revenge, which is scheduled to release in theatres on March 19. Sharing a long birthday note on social media, written entirely in capital letters, the director reflected on the year gone by and expressed gratitude for the support he has received from his team and fans while completing the film.
Dhar also acknowledged the strong online buzz around the film, including viral “peak detailing” memes shared by fans. Responding to the messages and posts circulating on social media, he said the response had left him deeply moved. The director said he wished he could personally reply to everyone but wanted fans to know how much their encouragement meant to him as the film nears release.
Reflecting on the challenges of filmmaking, Dhar said every project in the industry is a leap of faith and that the trust of audiences means everything. The director, who made his debut with Uri: The Surgical Strike, ended his note by saying it was time to return to work. Dhurandhar: The Revenge will release alongside Ustaad Bhagat Singh and Love Mocktail 3, and has already generated strong advance bookings with reports of over ₹50 crore in worldwide pre-sales.
