Adrien Brody Wins Best Actor At The 2025 Critics Choice Awards, Showers Love On Georgina Chapman

February 8, 2025: At the 30th annual Critics Choice Awards held on Friday, February 7 (early Saturday morning in India), Adrien Brody took home the prestigious Best Actor award for his powerful performance in The Brutalist. Brody triumphed over formidable competition, including Daniel Craig (Queer), Timothée Chalamet (A Complete Unknown), Colman Domingo (Sing Sing), Hugh Grant (Heretic), and Ralph Fiennes (Conclave).

The Brutalist has already garnered significant acclaim, with the film having won Best Motion Picture – Drama at the 2025 Golden Globes. During his emotional acceptance speech, Brody expressed immense gratitude to his crew, cast, and those who supported him, especially his girlfriend Georgina Chapman, whom he has been dating since 2020.

“I’ve been doing this since I was 12, and I know very clearly that these moments are far and few between in an actor’s life. I do not take this for granted,” Brody shared with the audience. He continued by thanking his parents, first responders in Los Angeles, and his team, acknowledging that his success would not have been possible without their support.

The 30th annual Critics Choice Awards ceremony, rescheduled from January 12 due to the Los Angeles wildfires, was hosted by Chelsea Handler. The event celebrated the best in both film and television, with films like Conclave and Wicked dominating the nominations. On the television front, Shogun led with six nominations, while Abbott Elementary, Hacks, and The Diplomat earned four nominations each.

The star-studded event was streamed live on Lionsgate Play in India, with fans worldwide tuning in to witness the excitement unfold.
