“Agli Chutti Kashmir Mein Hi Hogi”: Suniel Shetty Urges Indians to Stand United After Pahalgam Attack
April 26, 2025: Mumbai:
In a heartfelt and defiant response to the recent terror attack in Pahalgam, actor Suniel Shetty has called on fellow Indians to reject fear and hatred and instead choose solidarity and courage. Attending the Lata Deenanath Mangeshkar Award 2025 ceremony, Shetty urged citizens to spend their next vacation in Kashmir, declaring, “Agli chutti Kashmir mein hi hogi.”

Speaking to the media, the veteran actor said, “We must not fall into the trap of fear and division. Now is the time for unity. Kashmir was, is, and will always be ours. We must show those trying to spread terror that their tactics will not work.”
Suniel emphasized that service to humanity is service to God, and added that the Indian Army, leaders, and people are standing together in this moment of national grief and resilience.

Suniel passionately appealed to citizens to make a symbolic yet powerful gesture by planning their next holidays in Kashmir.
“As Indian citizens, we must decide that our next vacation will be in Kashmir and nowhere else. We have to show them we are not afraid — because we truly are not.”
He also revealed that he personally called authorities and offered to travel to Kashmir, whether as a tourist or artist, to show support.
“I said, if needed — for tourism, for shooting, or just to visit — we are ready to come. The Kashmiri children are innocent; they are not at fault in any of this.”
On April 22, terrorists opened fire on tourists at the Baisaran meadow in Pahalgam, killing 25 Indian citizens and one Nepali national. The act triggered widespread condemnation and sorrow across the country. In response, the government convened an all-party meeting on Thursday to review national security and formulate a united strategy.
