May 6, 2025: Aimee Lou Wood is setting the record straight—or trying to—on swirling rumors of a behind-the-scenes feud with White Lotus co-star Walton Goggins.

Appearing solo on the Met Gala 2025 red carpet on Monday night, the Sex Education actress told Entertainment Tonight she “loved working with” Goggins and called their collaboration on the hit HBO series “the best thing ever.”

The 31-year-old actress also offered praise for the 53-year-old actor’s upcoming Saturday Night Live appearance, saying, “He’s going to be incredible… It’s going to be hilarious. I’m so excited to see it.”

But when asked if she would join Goggins for a surprise cameo on the NBC sketch show, Wood was clear: “I’m not. I’m not doing that.”

Avoidance on the Carpet, Tension Behind the Scenes

While Wood made warm public remarks, she and Goggins notably avoided each other on the red carpet—despite both being in attendance.

The tension has been building since April, when Wood publicly criticized an SNL sketch parodying her character in White Lotus (“White POTUS”), while Goggins posted and praised the same skit before later deleting the post. His caption? “SMASHING” and “amazing.”

Fueling the rift speculation further, eagle-eyed fans noted that the pair unfollowed each other on Instagram. They played love interests Chelsea and Rick in the third season of The White Lotus, but have not shared any public interaction since the show’s wrap.

Co-Stars Speak Out

Actor Jason Isaacs, another cast member on the show, recently hinted at tension on set, telling SiriusXM’s Happy Hour that there were “arguments”—though he didn’t name names.

Meanwhile, Goggins appeared visibly irritated when asked about the alleged fallout in a recent London Times interview, abruptly ending the chat with, “What the f–k, Ed! Come on, buddy. Wow.”

Wood attended the Met Gala with fellow actor Patrick Schwarzenegger, while Goggins arrived separately.
