Ajay Devgn and Son Yug Lend Voices to Hindi Version of Karate Kid: Legends
May 13, 2025: Bollywood star Ajay Devgn and his son Yug Devgan are set to make their voice acting debut together in the Hindi version of the upcoming Hollywood film Karate Kid: Legends.
Ajay Devgn will voice Mr. Han, the iconic character portrayed by martial arts legend Jackie Chan, while his son Yug will voice the film’s lead character Li Fong, originally played by Ben Wang.
This marks a special milestone for the Devgn family — it’s Ajay Devgn’s first voiceover role in an international film, and Yug’s official debut in the entertainment industry.
The real-life father-son duo is expected to bring emotional depth and authenticity to the onscreen mentor-protégé relationship, which is at the heart of the Karate Kid franchise.
Sony Pictures Entertainment India made the announcement on Instagram, writing:
“The master has a new voice. So does the student! Ajay Devgn & Yug Devgan are all set to bring Jackie Chan & Ben Wang’s epic journey to life in #KarateKidLegends (Hindi). Kick into action with the Hindi trailer dropping soon.”
The upcoming film follows Li Fong, a kung fu prodigy navigating life in a new school. As he forms new bonds and faces a fierce rivalry with a local karate champion, he receives mentorship from Han (Jackie Chan) and Daniel LaRusso (Ralph Macchio) — a nod to the franchise’s legendary legacy.
The film explores self-discovery, courage, and growth, offering a fresh take on the beloved Karate Kid universe.
Karate Kid: Legends will release in theatres across India on May 30, 2025, in English, Hindi, Tamil, and Telugu.
